The Buzz on Bozo…. Vocals, Bass, Beanie. Bozo grew up infatuated with rock music… much to his mom's dismay. As a youngster he would spend hours jamming on his tennis raquet… dreaming of a day when he could play in a real rock band… with real instruments of course!…. He developed a knack for the drums, and after a few lessons, was off and running… playing in his first band…. This short-lived project had a young Robert Cray on guitar… no… Really! He then did the typical high school garage band thing, before heading to So. Cal. to 'make his mark' on the music scene…. and be a rock star! Hard Times was the band… and they ended up playing the same circuit as Van Halen, Quiet Riot, the Motels, and the Go-Go's to name a few… "I guess the highlight was headlining in front of 35,000 people…. We were truly rock stars that week!" But things fizzled, and Bozo came back home to Tacoma in the mid 80's.. eventually joining the popular club band "Fantasy Force"… playing the club circuit for 3+ years… When Fantasy Force decided that lounge music was the way to go… Bozo went on to start his own project… with good players, and a goofy, devil-may-care attitude… playing only music that the band liked to play! He chose the name "the Boinkers" to keep the whole attitude like a fun cartoon…. And the rest, as they say, is history!…. Or… is it?
